Zhanargul Beisembayeva graduated from the Foreign Languages Faculty, ​​the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian State University in 2011 with a major in “Translation Studies”. In the same year she began her teaching activities at the Translation Department of the same university as a trainee teacher. In 2008, she became a senior lecturer of the General Linguistics and Translation Theory Department, the Faculty of Philology. In 2010, she successfully defended her candidate thesis on “Adequacy of the Translation of W. Shakespeare’s Sonnets in Kazakh” under the supervision of Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Khadisha Nurgali. As a result, in 2011 she received her scientific degree of candidate of philological sciences with a major in “01.10.07 - Comparative Literary Criticism”. Since August 2017, Zhanargul Beisembayeva has been Chair of the Foreign Languages Theory and Practice Department, the Faculty of Philology.

Zhanargul Beisembayeva’s research areas are wholly related to literary, in particular, poetic translation within English, Russian and Kazakh languages. The study of simultaneous and consecutive translation issues are also of her great interest.

She reads such courses at the university as “Theory and Practice of Notes Taking”, “Professional English”, “Simultaneous Interpreting”, “Consecutive Interpreting with Notes and without Written Text”.

 

 

Zhanargul Beisembayeva is a simultaneous and consecutive interpreter (with English, Russian as working languages); she is engaged in the written translations of journalistic and scientific-academic texts.

She is the author of more than 60 scientific papers, including 2 monographs, 3 teaching manulas, and 1 electronic textbook. She is the holder of “Erasmus +” grants (Poland, Hungary), has had training in Interpreting in the European Commission, Brussels (Belgium) as well as in approaches to the education system (Germany, Holland, Bulgaria).

 

 

In 2019, she was awarded the breastplate “Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan” for special merits in the field of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MES, December 9, 2019).
