Professional practice of students
Professional practice of students of specialties 5В011800 - "Russian language and literature" and 5В020524 - "Philology: Russian language" is a part of the educational program of higher professional education.
The purpose of the practice is to consolidate the theoretical and deepen the practical knowledge gained in the process of studying at university.
In accordance with the state compulsory educational standards, various types of professional practice are provided:
- folklore practice, which has educational, scientific and applied significance. Students collective work contributes to the replenishment of the folklore archives of departments with new materials.
- dialectological practice consolidates the theoretical knowledge obtained at lecture and seminar classes at the course "Russian Dialectology", and also allows to deepen the linguistic knowledge of students in the course of direct observation of the natural functioning of the language.
- pedagogical practice is one of the forms of preparation of a future teacher for professional activity, and independent pedagogical work.
An intern student, observing and analyzing the multifaceted pedagogical process, reveals interrelations and essential aspects of this process, deepens and concretizes the theoretical knowledge obtained at university on psychological and pedagogical disciplines, special and social sciences.
- work experience practice promotes the acquisition by future specialists of experience and practical skills, necessary to complete the formation of the majority of general cultural, general professional and professional competences in the field of pedagogical activity.
- language practice is conducted for students on specialties that provide training with knowledge of languages and with a multilingual education, it is organized from the second year and before graduating depending on the specialty.
- predegree practice of students is an integral part of the basic educational program of higher professional education. This type of practice is serves consistently and in a certain system to combine the theoretical preparation of students with their practical activities.
Volumes of practice, its goals, objectives, content are determined in accordance with the requirements of the educational standard and the educational program of the specialties 5В011800 - "Russian language and literature" and 5В020524 - "Philology: Russian language".
About professional practice of master students
Second-year master students of the specialties "6M011800 – Russian Language and Literature" and "6M020500 – Philology: Russian Philology" undertake professional (pedagogical) practice. The base of practice is the Russian Philology Department. The total number of master students-trainees is 8.
During the pedagogical practice master students got acquainted with the documentation, which is taken into account in the approved file register in accordance with the requirements of the QMS. They viewed such materials as: training work (syllabuses, academic and methodological complexes on literary disciplines), practice (reports), research work of teachers and students (reports), job placement of graduates and others. They attended classes of literary scholars working at the bachelor's degree.
During the practice, master students took part in actions taken by the department, for example, in the International Seminar "Actual Problems of Education: Theory, Methodology, Practice".
The pedagogical practice of master students is completed in a few days, and they are already working on the preparation of the reporting documentation.
A note on the current scientific practice of doctoral students of the Department of Russian Philology
From 01/18/2020 to 03/27/2021, at the Department of Russian Philology, research practice is underway for doctoral students of the specialty 8D02314 - Literary criticism. Doctoral students undergo online practice at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the library of the ENU named after L.N. Gumilyov, the library of the National Academy of Sciences, the scientific library of the Silesian University, Katowice (https://us.edu.pl/deklaracja-dostepnosci/) and other world libraries, as well as at the scientific seminars of the department.
During their research practice, doctoral students master modern methods of conducting research work in the field of literary studies in accordance with the topic of their doctoral dissertation with a mandatory experimental part. Doctoral students in research practice acquire the skills of processing and interpreting experimental data using new information technologies. Doctoral students will present the results of the data obtained during research practice in their publications. Based on the results of the research practice of doctoral students, a final online conference is expected at the site of the Department of Russian Philology on hearing and accepting reports on the scientific work done and their results.
Employment
Work on the organization of interaction with employers at the Department of the Russian Philology in 2020-2021 academic year is conducted in accordance with the Plan. Copies of the Plan are available in the Career and Business Partnership Department, as well as in the general document on employment of the Faculty of Philology.
To work in the new 2020-2021 academic year was more productive, at the beginning of the academic year it was decided to work closely with the graduates of the department. In order to improve the implementation of the plan, the person responsible for employment works together with the head of the department and is responsible man for career guidance.
The beginning of the academic year was marked by numerous activities. At the moment the department of Russian philology has agreements on cooperation with 12 organizations. Every year the Employers' Base is steadily growing and renewing. The organization of interaction between students of the Faculty of Philology and employers goes according to the Schedule of Meetings. Job Fair is a great help in job placement of students and consolidation of ties with employers. In the future it is planned to 1) conclude agreements on cooperation with new organizations, constantly expand the Employers' Base; 2) To prepare students for the Job Fair - 2020.
Nowadays, the department conducts outreach work with alumni, experts are invited from the Business and Career Department as part of the advisory assistance.
The department constantly maintains a connection with the graduates of the department and always demonstrates high rates of employment of graduates of bachelor, master and doctoral studies (100%).
