The professional practice of students is an important and integral part of the higher education educational program aimed at consolidating the theoretical knowledge gained in the process of studying at a higher educational institution, acquiring practical skills and competencies, and developing best practices. It allows you to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in practice and serves as one of the effective means of successfully preparing students for future professional activities.

Students of the educational programs of the bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctoral studies of the Foreign Philology Department undergo educational, industrial, pre-diploma, pedagogical and research practices. Each type of professional practice has goals, objectives and a program, on the basis of which, the relevant base of professional practice is determined. The program of practice in its content reflects the profile of the specialty, the specific nature of the type of practice.

As a result of the practice, the heads of the practice bases note the high level of theoretical knowledge and professional competencies required for the specialties 6B02310 "Foreign Philology", 6B01720 "Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages" (German) and 5B011900 "Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages" (French language).

            Currently, the bases for the professional practice of students of educational programs 6B02310, 6М021000, 6D021000 - "Foreign philology", 6B01720 "Foreign language: two foreign languages" (German language) and 5В011900 "Foreign language: two foreign languages" (French language) are currently the following organizations and institutions:

 

  

           The Department of Foreign Philology is constantly working with graduates of the bachelor's degree in "Foreign Philology", "Foreign Language: two foreign languages" and graduates of the Master's degree, doctoral degree in "Foreign Philology" on employment issues.

The department constantly monitors the employment of graduates. At the beginning of the academic year, informational and explanatory meetings are held, organized by the Career and Business Partnership Department to work out a state grant for employment at the Faculty of Philology, which was attended by responsible for employment, 4th-year students, 2nd-year undergraduates and 3rd-year doctoral students. During the meetings, the main issues regarding employment after graduation, as well as the responsibility of graduates and employers are highlighted. The Department of Career and Business Partnership annually monitors the employment of university graduates. Monitoring data allow us to conclude that graduates are in demand in the labor market, their professional training generally meets the requirements of employers. 

The Department of Foreign Philology holds meetings with employers, where graduates have the opportunity to get acquainted with the vacancies of employers, to decide on a place of work in the future. The activities carried out help for further employment.

As a result of the work done with the graduates of the department, the following results were obtained: the employment of graduates was -95% in 2020; -90% in 2021, -85% in 2022.

The main places of employment of graduates: language training centers, schools, L.N.Gumilev ENU, S.Seifullin KazATU, KAZGUU University JSC, Eurasian Humanitarian Institute, colleges, Educational Center, Air Astana JSC, LLP, IP.Bachelor's degree graduates continue their master's degree studies in Kazakhstan and abroad.

Thus, graduates of the Department of Foreign Philology are mostly employed and submit supporting documents in a timely manner.

 The Department of Foreign Philology of L. N. Gumilyov ENU holds meetings, webinars, seminars with the invitation of representatives of various organizations under the guidance of senior teachers G.N. Zhamanaeva and G.S. Zhabigenova as part of the schedule of meetings with employers of graduate students. There are positive reviews for graduates of the department's specialties.

The level of employment of graduates today is one of the indicators of the effectiveness of universities. The issues of social protection and employment of young professionals, improving the mechanism of their adaptation to the labor market, promoting their employment, further development and professional growth are of priority importance in the aspect of the implementation of the main directions of the Strategy of the state youth policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Department of Foreign Philology holds meetings with employers, at which graduates have the opportunity to get acquainted with the vacancies of employers, to decide on further employment.

The demand for graduates of the specialty "Foreign Philology" is wide. Graduates can perform the following types of activities: educational (pedagogical), organizational and managerial, research and realize their professional qualities in schools, training centers, translation bureaus, publishing houses, advertising agencies.

During the 2022-2023 academic year, the responsible for employment at the Department of Foreign Philology is constantly working with graduates of the bachelor's degree in the specialties "Foreign Philology", "Foreign language: two foreign languages" and graduates of the master's degree, doctoral degree in the specialties "Foreign Philology", "Foreign language: two foreign languages".

The share of employed from the total number of graduates of the department in the areas of training was: 2021 – 92%; 2022 -85%.

Currently, further work is underway with graduates in order to promote employment. Thus, graduates of the Department of specialties D059 "Foreign Philology", D019 "Training of teachers of a foreign language" Bulegenova I.B. and Kabenova D.M. are employed at the Department of Foreign Philology.
