International cooperation

 

Since 2009, the department has been implementing the Master's degree program of two-diploma education jointly with the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (Moscow) within the Network Open University (NOU) of the CIS countries.  The coordinator of the program responsible for the development, coordination, functioning and organization of work in the part of the joint educational program within the framework of the CIS NOU in the direction of "Philology" (specialization "Russian language") is Prof.  E.A.  Zhuravleva. 

 

Jointly with the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics conducts conferences, round tables and seminars, as well as events for the development and study of the Russian language.  The department cooperates with the Kazakhstan branch of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov; the teachers of the department take part in all events held by the Branch on the base of ENU, and the students of the Branch practice on the basis of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics. 

 

Institute of Linguistics of the Russian State University for the Humanities (Russia, Moscow) in cooperation with the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics of the ENU named after L.N. Gumilyov organizes visiting seminars and master classes of Russian scientists in Kazakhstan. In the framework of cooperation, there was a visit of the scholar G.E. Kreidlina for lecturing teachers, undergraduates and students in December 2012.  All the participants were awarded certificates.

 

The agreement is signed on scientific cooperation between the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics of the Eurasian National University named after L.N.Gumilyov in the person of the head of the department, Professor E.A. Zhuravleva, on the one hand. And the Institute of Slavic and Baltic Philology of the University named after Lorand Etvesh, Budapest (Hungary), represented by Professor Istvan Lukács, on the other.  The agreement was signed on 2018, and initiated by Professor of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics Zhunusova Zh.N.

 

 Professor of the department Zharkynbekova Sh.K.  is a participant of the project "Hot and cold ethnicities in post-Soviet space" in cooperation with professors of Tartu University M. Ehal and A. Zabrodska (Estonia, Tartu).  Teachers and doctoral students of the department have close scientific contacts with scholars from the University of Tartu, take part in scientific events held in Estonia, and write joint scientific works.

 

In the framework of cooperation with the Embassy of Poland, the Center for Polish Language and Culture operates at the department, teachers from Poland work on the base of it.  The Center started its work in May 2011.  In the specialties programme "5В011800 - Russian language and literature" and "5В020524 - Philology: Russian language", an elective course "Polish language" was introduced as one of the modern Slavic language.  The Polish language is taught to everyone, the priority of the work is the development of Polish-Kazakhstan cultural relations.

 

  

The Belarusian State University (Minsk), within the framework of the Agreement on Cooperation between Universities, annually conducts seminars and conferences for which teachers, undergraduates and students of the Theoretical and Applied Linguistics Department of ENU named after L.N. Gumilyov are invited. On the basis of the philological faculty of the Belarusian State University, master students of specialties "6M011800 - Russian Language and Literature" and "6M020500 - Philology: Russian Philology" undergo scientific internships, publish the results of their research in collections of scientific papers.

 

Between the philological faculty of ENU and the Institute of Slavic Studies of Pecs University (Pecs, Hungary) an agreement was signed on cooperation in the field of science, education and culture.  The initiator of the agreement was Prof.  E.A.  Zhuravleva.  Within this agreement, undergraduates of the first or second year of studying specialty "Philology" in 2014 and 2015 were trained on the basis of the Russian Center of the Institute of Slavic Studies of the University of Pec.  In 2017 the teachers of the department jointly with their Hungarian counterparts conducted a research in the framework of the project, lectured teachers of Hungarian gymnasiums.

 

In the framework of the agreement on scientific cooperation between the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics of the ENU, L.N. Gumilyov and the Department of Russian language of the Moscow City Pedagogical University, joint research is conducted, the participation of students in scientific conferences of both departments is practiced.

 

With the Tula State Pedagogical University named after L.N. Tolstoy signed an agreement on cooperation in science, education and culture.  The initiator of the agreement was Prof.  E.A.  Zhuravleva.  Since 2014, the Department of Russian Literature acts as co-organizer of the International Student Conference "Russian Language in the 21st Century: Young Researches" held at the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics.  In 2018 it is planned to conduct dialectological practice of ENU students on the basis of Tula University.

   

 Within the framework of the Agreement on Scientific Cooperation, the Faculty of Philology of Surgut State Pedagogical University successfully acts as a co-organizer of traditional international conferences of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics of L.N.Gumilyov ENU: scientific-practical conference “Text in the System of Teaching Russian Language and Literature", students conference “Russian language in the 21st century: research of the young”, international students competitions and Olympiads.

 

The Department won the Competition of the international mobility program “Erasmus+” in cooperation with the Technical University of Dresden (Germany). This is one of the largest technical universities of Germany, which is included in the TOP 200 best universities in the world according to QS, occupying the 195th position. Under this program, undergraduates study for a semester in Dresden, exchange lecturers, and conduct joint research projects. Head of the Institute of Slavic Studies at the University of Dresden, Prof. Kuse is a foreign consultant of PhD students of the Department, on the basis of the Institute of Slavic Studies, PhD students undergo scientific internships.

 

 

 

Undergraduates are trained on the basis of the Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement. Also, since 2015, Kazan University has been a co-organizer of the International Student Scientific Conference “Russian Language in the XXI Century: Research of the Young”, held annually by the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics. Leading scientists of the Department and their colleagues from Kazan write scientific articles published in the indexed journals WoS and Scopus.

 

Within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement with the Ural State Mining University, various types of joint activities are carried out: scientific training for undergraduates is organized at the Department of Foreign Languages and Business Communication, this department is a co-organizer of the conference “Text in the system of teaching Russian language and literature”, in the collaboration of scientists of two universities research and writing articles.
