In the frames of international cooperation Department of Theory and Practice of foreign languages actively cooperates with the leading Universities. The faculty actively cooperates with leading universities of near and far abroad. The important direction of international cooperation is  scientific work within the framework of Interuniversity agreements in the field of science by Kazakhstan and other countries, and  also in the framework of international scientific programs.  Students, undergraduates, doctoral candidates and teachers  of  Gumilev  Eurasian National university  are involved in the  the international programs

International cooperation of the Department of "Theories and Practices of Foreign Languages" is carried out on the basis of inter-university and faculty agreements, memoranda and agreements, as well as protocols and work programs. Eminent professors of various universities in the world visit the department to give lectures to students. Scientists from foreign universities take part in the educational process for the preparation of bachelors and undergraduates as visiting professors.

One of the main indicators of increasing the internationalization of educational and scientific processes is an increase in the share of foreign specialists among scientific and pedagogical staff. In the first half of the 2019-2020 academic year, 7 foreign professors were invited for short and long periods to give lecture courses.

VISITS OF FOREIGN LECTORS, READING LECTURES BY LANGUAGES OF THE LANGUAGE

From September 9 to September 19, 2019, Maria Blakhova, PhD, head of the Department of Intercultural Communication of the Faculty of Applied Languages, University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia was invited to lecture on “Intercultural Communication in Teaching a Foreign Language” for undergraduates and the course “History of English” for undergraduate students. High professionalism, excellent presentation of the material, interesting video accompaniment of lectures allowed our students to easily master the material and interact at the lectures, answering the lecturer's questions and asking their questions.

From December 2 to December 9, 2019, an associate professor, Dr. PhD Dana Badulescu, visited and gave a lecture for students, undergraduates and the teaching staff of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages. The famous scientist spoke about the latest research in literary criticism, and also presented the audience with the presentation “Critical Thinking and Literary Thinking”. Over the past few years, PhD Dr. Dana Badulescu has been administering the Erasmus + program and it is thanks to her that second-year undergraduates had the opportunity to visit Alexandra Ioan Cuza University in Iasi, Romania, as part of a planned internship abroad.

For the period from October 1 to October 27, 2019, according to the short-term invitation program of foreign professors of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Larisa Turusheva, doctor of philological sciences, professor of the University of Applied Sciences EKA, Riga, Latvia, arrived to deliver lectures for undergraduates of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages ​​of the Faculty of Philology.

QS IN CONVERSATION: COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF TWO-DIPLOMA EDUCATION

October 14-15, 2019 in Kaunas, Lithuania, the work of the international educational summit entitled “QS in Conversation. Increasing recognition through international cooperation: mobility, recognition, branding. ” The organizers of this international event were: Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumileva, one of the leading universities in Kazakhstan in terms of QS ratings, Vytautas Magnus University, one of the leading and most experienced universities in higher education in Lithuania and the QS Quarquarelli Symonds International rating agency. The forum was attended by representatives of education, science, business, healthcare, etc. ENU delegation led by the rector of the university EB Sydykov, took an active part in the two-day work of the forum, where there were rich reports, presentations, discussions and meetings.

Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages ​​Zh.A. Beysembaeva represented the Faculty of Philology at a forum in a Lithuanian university, where she was able to meet with the leadership of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Vytautas Magnus: Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Doctor PhD Ruta Eidukeviciene and Head of Educational Programs in English at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. PhD Jurgita Vaičenonienė.

Foreign scientific internships
