International cooperation

In order to develop international integration and train qualified specialists in higher education in Kazakhstan, the department cooperates with leading foreign universities in the following areas: the exchange of experience in the development of the educational process, the use of modern teaching methods, research and exchange.

The number of faculty members is growing in a number of business trips to foreign universities, exchanging experience with foreign scientists. In order to implement international relations in the curriculum there is an appeal for lectures for foreign students.

The following works are carried out with foreign partners:

May 23-24, 2016 Professor Dr. Zeki Kaymaz (Ege University, Izmir), Ph.D., Professor Sheref Ali Boskapilan (Dokuz Eilul University), Ph.D., Professor Suer Ecker (Baskent University), teachers, graduate students and undergraduates. a seminar titled "Turkic Languages and Its Future in the Era of Globalization". 

In the framework of the program "Attraction of Foreign Scientists to Higher Educational Institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan", conducted by the University from 28.11.16 to 12.12.16, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor Ayshe Ilker (Jalala Bayara University, Turkey) delivered a lecture for students.

Professor Zh.A. Zhakupov delivered a lecture on "Synchronous, diachronic study of the syntax of the Kazakh language" at the University of Mingzu (Beijing, China) on "Modern achievements of the Kazakh translation" and held a scientific seminar "National color in the word".

Bachelor students and post-graduate students of the department (Asemgul Raeva, Olzhas Amandykov, Totti Shokakova, Dinara Silanova, Alima Sarsenbaeva, Kimbat Turakhanova, Orken Abdirov, Eldos Omirkhan) will take part in the International Congress of Young Researchers on May 27-31, 2017 in Marmaris, participated in the Congress of Young scientists and made scientific reports.

The VI International symposium "Koroglu and Turkic epics" was held in the city of Bolu (Turkic Republic), organized by Kazakh linguistics, the Kazakh Literature Department and the Abant Izzet University with the participation of Academician S. Kaskabasov, Doctor of Philology, Professor Sh. Ibraev, Doctor of Philology, Professor J.A. Zhakupov, Ph.D., Professor Zh.A.Amukhambet, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor K. Sarekenova, Ph.D. KK Kenzhalin took part in scientific reports.

On October 24-25, 2017, Dr. Hurer Gulsevin (Ege University, Turkey) conducted a scientific seminar titled "Terminology and Common Term Problems" for teachers, doctoral students and undergraduates.

Professor J.A. Zhakupov together with his foreign colleagues conducts research work on the research project "The Problem of Translation between the Sino-Kazakh Languages" (University of Minzu, PRC).

With the support of our foreign partners, undergraduates of the specialty "Philology: Kazakh Philology" and "Kazakh Language and Literature" underwent a scientific internship at the University of Ege at the Turkic World Research Institute (Izmir, Turkey).

In the framework of the academic mobility program, undergraduate students of the 2-year course 7M01717 - Kazakh language and literature Dana Ospanova and Zukhra Islamova from the University of the Eastern Mediterranean (Cyprus), Togzhan Amilbekova at the Istanbul University (Turkey) short-term (fall semester) knowledge exchange.

In the period of 2018-2019 academic year, all academic mobility programs were implemented. Students of the master's program in the specialties "Philology: Kazakh language" and "Kazakh language and literature" studied at the University of Pamukkale in Turkey. Also, foreign internships for undergraduates and doctoral students of the Kazakh linguistics department are carried out according to the plan.

In the period from September to December 2020, the director of the Turkish Language Association, Dr. Prof. Gurer Gulsevin was invited to teach two disciplines to students.

From 2021 to 2022 academic year, students from Mongolia, China and Uzbekistan are studying at the Department of Kazakh Linguistics under the full course programs, Welcome to Enu, double-degree education, and as part of preparatory programs.

In 2022, foreign scientists and teachers: Ekzhi Metin (Turkey), Shamiloglu Yulay (USA), Anna Vladimirovna Dybo (RF) and Arslan Mustafa (Turkey) lectured and conducted a joint study with the Department of Kazakh Linguistics as part of the project "Uly Zhibek Zholynyn Tarihi toponymy son gylymdar togysynda zerdeleu"
