The development of international cooperation with the leading research centers and universities of the world is one of the priorities of the department. The Department of Foreign Languages cooperates very closely and productively with the CIS universities, namely, Arabaev Kyrgyz State University. Since 2015, the department has hosted KSPU graduate students of the Faculty of Philology for internship. Over the past three years, more than 15 undergraduates from the Arabayev Kyrgyz State University have been trained at the Department, where they attended classes of professors, conducted research under their supervision, became familiar with the library stock and the resources of our university.
The academic mobility of the faculty members has been actively developing aimed at exchange of experience and knowledge.
Under the Erasmus Mundus program within the period from 2013 to 2017, the faculty members completed their scientific internships in internationally recognized research centers and universities in the world: Master of pedagogical sciences, senior teacher Tazhitova G.Z. (Austria, Johannes Kepler University, Linz), Master of pedagogica sciences, senior teacher Nurbekova G.Zh. (Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany), candidate of pedagogical sciences Kurmanayeva D.K. (University of Deusto, Bielbao, Spain), сandidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor Kassymbekova N.S. (Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany).
Under the Erasmus + program, candidate of pedagogical sciences, Associate Professor Sagimbayeva J.Ye. delivered a course of lectures on intercultural communication at the SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities in April 2017 (Poland), and candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor Tussupbekova M.Zh. gave a course of lectures on the methodology of teaching foreign languages at the University of Deusto (Bilbao, Spain) in May 2017. Moreover, associate professor Sagimbayeva J.Ye. did research internship at the University of Cadiz (Spain) in May 2017.
In 2020, 19 teachers of the department successfully completed a 72-hour advanced training course for teachers in the direction of "Innovative educational technologies and didactic models" as part of the ERASMUS + project "Modernization of higher education in Central Asia using new technologies" (HiEdTec).
Under the Bolashak program, faculty members earned master's degree, that is 2013-2015 Smagulova M.G. (Germany, Hamburg, University of Hamburg), 2014-2016 Mukhanova B.Kh. (Germany, Goettingen, University of Georg-August). Furthermore faculty members completed their internships under the international program "Bolashak": 2013-2014 candidate of pedagogical sciences Kurmanayeva D.K. (University of Reading, United Kingdom), September- December 2014 senior teacher Zarkesheva A.Ye. on the research topic "Innovative technologies in teaching a foreign language" (University of Leiden, Leiden, Netherlands), in 2014 Master of pedagogical sciences, senior teacher Nurbekova G.Zh. on the topic "New Challenges and New Priorities in Teaching a Foreign Language" (Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany), 15.07.2013-22.09.2013 Master of pedagogical sciences, senior teacher Burkitbayeva A.G., master of philological faculty, senior teacher Niyazbekova A.A., (School of Business, Montreux, Switzerland). In 2020, Sultan D. G. Master, Senior Lecturer at KIA FF became the owner of the BOLASHAK international scholarship and was enrolled at Stanford University in the specialty CAH22-01-01 "PHD in Education Policy".

(Omsk State Pedagogical University, Omsk, Russia), senior teachers Dyusengalieva A.A., Khamzina A.Kh, Smagulova B.G. (Kazakh Ablai khan University of International Relations and World Languages, Almaty, Kazakhstan).
In the framework of close cooperation with the International service SES-Senior Experten Service, Department of foreign languages of the faculty of Philology of the Eurasian national University named after L. N. Gumilyov invited an expert on the methodology of teaching English as a foreign language PhD Thomas Paeffgen. During the project from 29.09.2019 to 26.10.2019 Doctor Paeffgen held a series of seminars on innovative methods of teaching English, focusing on the features of the organization of classes for non-linguistic specialties.
In 2020-2021 the teaching staff of the department passed international advanced training courses: Ph.D., associate professor Mukhtarkhanova A. M. successfully completed the online course without credit "Academic listening and note-taking", approved by the University of California, Irvine and offered through Coursera; Ph.D., associate professor Kassymbekova N.S., Doctor of Philosophy PhD, associate professor Kurmanaeva D.K., Ph.D., associate professor Mukhtarkhanov A.M., Ph.D. ass. professor Sagimbayeva Zh.E., Ph.D., acting associate professor Tussupova G.K., candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor Tussupbekova M.Zh. completed a course on training experts in the evaluation of textbooks and educational and methodological complexes (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Hellenic Republic), PhD, associate professor Balkhimbekova P.Zh., teachers Tanesh Bota, Iliyasova A.K., PhD Bakyt Ainur completed advanced training courses “Modern methodologies and use of educational technologies for teaching in Kazakhstan” (Imperial English UK, UK), senior teacher Vatutina Zh. P. (Infourok, Smolensk), Ph.D., associate professor, doctor of philosophy PhD Kurmanaeva D.K., (Institute of Computer Systems, Odessa), Ph.D., associate professor Mukhtarkhanov A.M. (Arizona State University, USA)
In 2020-2021, a number of seminars were held on the Microcoft Teams platform with a professor at the University of Exeter (England), Dean of the College of Social Sciences and International Studies, President of the European Teaching and Learning Association, Vice President of the British Literacy Association, Debra Myhill: in 2020 a two-hour seminar on "Writing academic articles and some expectations of a journal article in terms of style and structure." At the seminar, the professor gave detailed information about the features and style, structure of writing scientific articles. The seminar was attended by 189 students from all universities of the capital, including teachers and undergraduates of our university. In 2021, Professor D. Myhill took part in an online seminar on the topic "Writing a literary review". As part of the Decade of Science at the Faculty of Philology, in April, 2021, an international scientific and practical online seminar "Distance learning in foreign languages teaching: best practices" was held with the participation of the professor.
In October 2022, the scientific and methodological seminar entitled "Collaboration & Publication" was held. The seminar was conducted on the Microsoft Teams platform, as it was attended by Professor of the University of Minnesota, USA, Susan Jones and associate professor of the Department Tussupbekova M. Zh., who was having the research internship at the same university.
In February, 2023 the Foreign Languages Department of the Philological Faculty at the L.N. Gumilyov University held its regular scientific and methodological seminar entitled "Becoming a Better Teacher: Exploring Professional Development". The following lecturers presented their topics of speeches: 1) Adaptive Learning Systems- - Jeffrey Stier, lecturer at Saybayev University, Almaty 2) The formation of the value orientations of the future specialists by means of foreign language - master, senior lecturer of the department Kasbayeva G.S.
Teachers of the Faculty of Philology candidate of pedagogical sciences Tussupbekova M.Zh. and PhD D.M. Akizhanova completed an internship at the University of Minnesota (USA) as part of the Bolashak program "500 scientists". The internship lasted 6 months (June-December 2022). Their internship has brought much experience visiting different educational institutions of the USA and workshops of the host university.
In the second half of 2022, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages Tussipova G. K. received an online scholarship from the Goethe-Institut. Also teachers of DFL Kasbayeva G.S. in collaboration with foreign colleagues R. Imanjussip, B. Senay from Bursa (Turkey), Nurbekova G.Zh. and Tazhitova G.Z. in collaboration with a foreign colleague Karabalayeva G.T. from Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) published scientific articles in the journals of the Republic of Kazakhstan, included in the list of KKSON MES RK. Teachers Zhanayeva Z.A., Ilyasova A.K., Zhandildinova A.M., Tanesh B. completed the 72-hour advanced international training course "TKT prep COURSE" and received a certificate. 16 teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages passed the online seminar "How to get published in scientific journals", Odessa Polytechnic National University Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics; in August, Tussupova G. K. participated in the 4th Congress of German Language Teachers “Learning Goals in the German Lesson” in Almaty Goethe Institute; in October, Bakyt Ainura took the course "Boost Your Vocabulary Intensive Course" Co-founder, CCO of linguatrip; in October, Otyzbayeva K. Zh. passed the advanced training “Competitiveness of Universities in the QS Subject Ranking Brussels, Belgium” at ENU. L.N. Gumilyov; October - November Niyazbekova A. A. and Nurlybai A. M. passed "Teacher Development Certificate" in Education First; in September Tussupbekova M. Zh. completed a 36-hour Assessing Language Learners’ Communication Skills via Authentic Communicative Performance Tasks course at CARLA Summer Institute University of Minnesota; in December, Nurgalieva U. S. and Mussina S. K. passed an international online training “Development of a research university - experience of European higher educational institutions” (72 hours), Strasbourg University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. In January 2023, Zhandildinova A. M., Ilyasova A. K., Zhanaeva Zh. A., Tanesh B. successfully passed and received certificates in 3 modules of Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test.
