Achievements
In December 2019, Zhanna Alibievna Beisembaeva, candidate of philological sciences, head of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages, was awarded the breastplate “Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan” for her diligent work and contribution to the development of the educational system and the upbringing of the younger generation. The certificate of honor was awarded by the rector of the Eurasian National University, doctor of historical sciences, professor, academician, vice-president of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sydykov Erlan Battashevich.
On the eve of the professional holiday of Teacher's Day at a meeting of the Academic Council of L.N. Gumilyov ENU in a festive atmosphere, the senior teacher of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages Anasheva Dariga Kasymovna was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Aymagambetov for conscientious work and contribution to the development of the educational system and the upbringing of the younger generation. Also, teachers of the department Narmukhametova N.M., Beisenbaeva L.Zh., Baybatyrova A.A., Tulegenova A.M., Ibragimova K.E. Kydyrbaeva D.A. and Baltynova A.Sh. received letters of thanks from the rector of ENU named after L.N. Gumilev Sydykov Erlan Battashevich and Dean of the Faculty of Philology Beisenbay Ardak Bakhytovich.
Teachers of the department constantly publish and use the results of their research in the educational process. So, Professor Zhusupova R.F. received an act of implementation in the educational process for the monograph “Successful strategies to teaching English for gifted students”. Nurzhanova Zh.D. for the textbook "Bastapky ayylshyn tіlі." Teachers Anasheva D.K. and Ibragimova K.E. for the tutorial Steps to academic speech and writing. Doszhan G.A. The author’s monograph “Linguocontactology: Semantics and Pragmatics of Borrowed words” was published. The monograph is intended for the specialties “Philology”, “Linguistics”, “Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages”, “Translation”, “Journalism”, “Turkology”, “Cultural Studies”, “Sociology”, “Political Science”.
Lecturer Bibol Ulipbay, MA, won the Bolashak Scholarship Competition for doctoral studies at the University of South California, USA, where he is currently studying successfully.
The faculty of the department together with native speakers (Jose Umberto Baesa Estrada (USA), Israel Beyene Mogis, Kebir Mohhamed Jemal and Jacob Levita) conduct binary classes in many disciplines.
Teachers Asanova A.E. (Philology), Eric G. (Philology), A. Baltynova (Pedagogy and Psychology), G. Kozhakhmetova (Translation business) became the owners of state grants for doctoral studies in 2019.
On October 18-19, 2019 in the city of Nur-Sultan, the international scientific-practical conference "Modernization of educational resources: experience and prospects" was held at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Textbook" of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its subordinate organizations, higher education institutions, domestic and foreign publishers, Kazakhstani and international scientific centers, as well as teachings from South Korea, Finland and the USA. Our teacher Abdykhalykova Akzhan Myrzakadyrovna made a presentation on the topic: “Multimedia technologies in education” at the panel session No. 4 “Issues of development and implementation of electronic educational resources”.
