On September 7, 2021, a meeting was held with the dean of the Faculty of Philology L.N. Gumilyov ENU Beisenbai A.B. with the Director of the Regional Office of the English Language Programs of the US Embassy in Nur-Sultan, John Silver. The meeting was also attended by the coordinator of the English language programs of the Regional Office O. Paterova, a teacher from the USA August Garnsey, Director of the ENU Department of International Cooperation A. Karmelyuk, as well as acting. Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages Beisenbaeva L.Zh. During the meeting, issues of cooperation between the university and the regional office of English language programs were discussed, the trajectory of further joint work within the framework of the signed agreement was outlined. According to this agreement, in the 2021-2022 academic year, August Garnsey will teach at the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages at the Faculty of Philology, who arrived at our university as part of the English Language Fellow program of the US Embassy in Kazakhstan, a program for providing a teacher from the United States.
