On 17 June, 2019 a graduation ceremony of graduates of the Preparatory Department with the participation of the Rector of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov, academician of the NAS RK Sydykov Y.B. was held. The event was also attended by the first Vice-Rector and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Moldazhanova A.A., Vice-Rector for Socio-Cultural Development, Academician of the NAS RK Kamzabekuly D., deans of faculties, department staff, teachers, graduates and their parents. The event was organized by the department of practical Kazakh language and students of the department.
During the opening of the ceremonial part, Yerlan Battashevich congratulated graduates with the words: “It has been only two years since the preparatory department at the ENU opened. Our teachers are very responsible and creative in their education, and it turns out that they are fruitful. Now the main thing is that the graduates justify their work and become professionals of their favorite craft in the future! ” Wishing students success, he thanked the head of the preparatory department Kulmanov K.S.
Congratulations were also received from Dikhan Kamzabekuly, who concluded his speech with the words: “The Kazakhs have a saying “Botasy kelse, artynan atasy keler ”(literally -“ If you see a calf (baby camel), the camel will come after him”). In this hall now there is a youth under-age or 18-years old. For them, this is the next stage of life. Let them get deep knowledge in the capital, overcome other big obstacles, work for the country, take care of parents and build exemplary families, let them live and create a century!”
Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Professor Sholpan Zharkynbekova also wished students to become a grant holder at our university. The head of the practical Kazakh language department and the head of the preparatory department, Professor Kuandyk Kulmanov told about the history, the contingent of students and the future plans of the department: “In 2017, about 50 students entered the department, and this year about 200 graduates are finishing. Most graduates are from Mongolia, China, Uzbekistan and other countries. Our university is expected to become the main choice of young people in the future. We will go to this goal together, and we hope our graduates successfully pass the UNT and find themselves in the ranks of Kazakhstani students!”
The presenters of the evening, Deputy Dean for the educational work of the Faculty of Philology, T. Gabdrakhman and a student of the preparatory department A. Kiyalkhan announced the presentation of the award to active graduates in the nominations “Best Headmen”, “Skillful Listeners”, “Athletes”, etc. This mission was carried out by an employee of the Department of Cultural and Humanitarian Projects of the non-commercial joint-stock company Otandastor Kory, N.K.Zhumagaziev, Dean of the Faculty of History, Professor Sadykov T.S., Dean of Natural Sciences, Professor Shapekova N.L., Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Energy, Professor T.B. Suleimenov, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, S.K. Baymukhanov, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences B.B. Kashkhynbai, Director of the Department of Academic Affairs, Sh.B. Palymbetov, Director of the Department of Social Sciences and the development of civil Madibekov A.S.
During the award ceremony, Nurymzhan Zhumagaziev presented the best listeners with 15 free passes to the republican youth summer camp “Zeren-2019” organized by the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Otandastar Foundation, and Nelya Shapekova awarded the graduates with an amulet of luck with good wishes “Zholdary ashyq bolsyn!”. Also, DB-4, DB-1 were recognized as the “Best Groups”.
