On February 15, 2023 teachers of the Department of Practical Kazakh Language of the L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University, professor U.O. Assanova, professor B.S.Abduova, associate professor J.A.Zhunisova organized a poetry evening in honor of the birthday of the great kazakh poet M.Makatayev. The purpose of the evening was to familiarize students with the life and work of the poet. M. Makatayev's poems reveal the history, traditions, and way of life of the Kazakh people, as well as nurture love and care for their Homeland, country, and people.
The evening of poetry was conducted by students of the RL-12 group Zhakai Janel and Amangeldieva Symbat. The evening consisted of three parts. First of all, the slides showed the poet's life path, videos with his voice and memories of famous people about him. The next stage was devoted to songs and poems. All students of the philological and natural-technical faculties stood out by expressively reading and perfectly performing the poet's poems. At the third stage, a competition related to the poet's work took place. There it was necessary to answer interesting, informative questions. This competition was fascinating thanks to students studying in the specialties of RL-12 and Geography-12, Hydrology-12, Electric Power-14, Biology-12 who passed one after another and tried to prove their knowledge.
Mukagali is one of the remarkable poets of our time. The poet himself said: "If you are really going to study my biography, my work, then do not forget to read everything I wrote. Please do not separate me from your poems." An evening dedicated to the wonderful mysterious poems of the great poet, who always raised the white flag of truth, kept justice and loyalty on an equal footing, introduced all participants to the world of poetry, gave spiritual inspiration and sincere feelings.
The guests of the evening were pleased and talked about how many talented young people there are in our educational institution, talented both in education and in creativity. Then they wished them success in their studies and in life. The end of the evening turned into a memorable photo shooting.
