Webinar «Training of environmental volunteers»

04/27/2020 eco-volunteers-masters of the specialty “Foreign Philology” shared information on their methodological developments in bilingual (Russian-English) training of eco-volunteers at the international level (Russia, Moscow).

The webinar is organized by the V.I.Vernadsky Non-Governmental Environmental Fund. The title of the webinar «Training of environmental volunteers». From the experience of  L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University was conducted by Tatyana Avgusmanova, the head of educational programs of the V.I.Vernadsky Ecological Fund.

The webinar was attended by well-known Russian academic teachers on environmental education issues.

From L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University was attended by prof. Dlimbetova G.K. prof. Bulatbaeva K.N., 1st year undergraduates of the Department "Foreign Philology".

The webinar was hosted by Ph.D., Chairwoman of the Ecological Volunteering Club of the Faculty of Social Sciences Abenova S.U.

The webinar presents the implementation of the idea of ​​expanding the concept of “Ecological passport of the university”, when it includes not only the passport of landscaping, but also the systemic involvement of the ecological component in the content of the studied disciplines (Prof. G. Dlimbetova, L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University). The general essence of the speeches of undergraduates is a discussion of the possibilities of philologists in the foreign language training of university environmental volunteers. Graduate students under the guidance of prof. Bulatbaeva K.N. in the first semester of this year studied the course “Comparative Linguodidactics”, which resulted in the defense of the author’s methodological plans for classes for eco-volunteers of various specialties. In the second semester, they studied the course “Media Text Ecology”, within the framework of which they have mastered all the rules of organization of media speech, analyzed violations in media speech, composed their own media texts of different genres. The results of the study of the second discipline are marked by the media presentation of undergraduates at the international level, when they showed in reality the process of ecologization of philological education.
