On January 20, the L.N. Gumilyov ENU hosted a solemn awarding ceremony for the winners of the Regional Subject Olympiad. The Director of the Department for Academic Affairs B.B. Kashkhynbay made a welcoming speech to the winners of the Olympiad. Then the ceremony of awarding diplomas and valuable gifts took place.
Diplomas to the winners of the Olympiad on the subject "Russian language" were awarded by the Dean of the Faculty of Philology A.B. Beisenbai and the head of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics E.A. Zhuravleva.
After the university-wide presentation, the winning teams in the subject "Russian Language" together with the teachers went to a congratulatory event in the Pushkin Drawing Room, where another award ceremony was held from the Russian Center for Science and Culture and the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics.
The head of the Russian Center for Science and Culture O.A. Filonova congratulated the teams of schoolchildren on winning the Olympiad in the Russian language, invited them to participate more actively in scientific and cultural events held at different venues. From the Russian Center, all the winning schoolchildren were presented with gifts: dictionaries, books and tickets to the Gorky Theater for the play "Thunderstorm".
