On September 21, 2022 first year student of master's degree , educational program: teacher training in foreign language Aiym Bolatova held a Speaking Club for the first-year undergraduate students of the Philology faculty, Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages. Aiym is a participant of the Kazakhstan Youth Leadership Conference 2022. The conference was held by the American Embassy. She received funding from the American Embassy to host this Speaking Club.The topic of the lesson was: "Idioms in English". During the lesson, students got acquainted with the idioms of the English language, learned 26 new idioms in English. Students performed various interesting tasks such as: draw idioms according to their direct meaning, guess the correct meaning of unfamiliar idioms, as well as make up their own examples with idioms.During the lesson there was a competition and students won various prizes: books of famous writers and diaries.The students had a great time and were happy to participate in the Speaking Club from the ENU.
