Joint work of the undergraduates and the doctoral students

For several years, on the basis of the Department of Theory and Practice of Teaching Foreign Languages, a course of Multi-level teaching of foreign languages has been developed and taught for doctoral students of the specialty "Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages". As we know, the education system is changing all the time, as life dictates its own conditions - it is almost impossible to combine into one group of students with the same level of language proficiency, the same age and with a similar background to teach them English in modern society. Therefore, the multi-level approach is very important in the modern educational space. Multilevel groups are as diverse as the students in them. Most often, these include students who have different proficiency in English, who have different background knowledge and vary in age. In such difficult conditions, only highly qualified, methodically competent teachers can work successfully. This course is dedicated to the preparation of such professionals.

One of the main ideas of multilevel teaching of a foreign language is to prepare doctoral students to develop a system of tasks that can be successfully applied to different levels of students in the same class at the same time. To achieve such a complex goal by doctoral students, teachers of the department also attracted undergraduates Their mini-projects served as a starting point for improving the assignments intended for students in the multilevel group. Thus, professor of the department G. I. Baigunissova invited 1st year undergraduate Asel Sultanbekova to doctoral students, who presented the results of her project 'Storytelling in teaching English (The Jester and the King)'. The demonstration of the project was organized in an active mode - 1st year doctoral students Aigul Uisinbekova and Aidyn Donbaeva were also involved in the activity. After the joint work of the undergraduate and doctoral students, the teacher offered to raise the assignments from the project to a higher methodological level - to develop them for the multilevel group students. Aigul Uisinbekova and Aidyn Donbaeva took up this complex work with great interest. As a result, a system of tasks was developed, which took into account the peculiarities of learning with a multi-level approach.

The organization of this kind of class showed that sometimes it is very useful to "blur" the border of the autonomy of teaching students of different programs and combine them into one group to achieve the important goal - the preparation of a qualified English  teacher.
