On April 7, 2023, teachers of the Department of Practical Kazakh Language of the Faculty of Philology S.Karibayeva, M.Zhumadilova organized a seminar «Methods for the formation of semantic reading skills» and made a presentation. The event was attended by linguists of our university and the staff of the named department.
During the seminar, the speakers shared effective language teaching methods that are necessary for learning and developing reading skills in the Kazakh language. The problems of students' ability to read a large stream of modern information, find materials for their further growth and professional development, involve them in complex cognitive processes aimed at reading, that is, understanding the text, are considered. The workshop leaders noted that mastering new technologies of reading techniques, which is the most basic form of speech activity, contributes to improving the quality of learning and language development.
After the presentations of the speakers, the teachers participating in the seminar asked questions on the topic, especially on the strategy for using the presented materials in the practice of teaching languages.
At the end of the seminar, the head of the Department of Practical Kazakh Language, associate professor Kuandyk Kulmanov thanked the organizers for the informative speeches.
