On April 22, 2022, Associate Professors of the Department of Practical Kazakh Language of the Faculty of Philology S.E. Karybaeva, M.N. Zhumadilov held an open tournament on the board linguistic game «Shańyraq», i.e. intellectual and entertaining team competition. The tournament was attended by teachers of the department of practical Kazakh language, first-year students of the faculties of social science and journalism.
The purpose of the game is to explain the hidden word to a teammate (in some cases, to the players of the opposite team), without using gestures and pronouncing the hidden word and words with the same root.
The tournament was held in two stages. At the first stage, the participating teams identified the winning team among their own participants. The second game was the final one, the best teams from the previous stage participated in it. According to the results of the final «linguo-battle», the winner of the tournament was announced.
The game has become an interesting addition to the study of the Kazakh language and has made it possible to increase and accumulate a fireproof stock of players' vocabulary. Thus, the participants developed not only vocabulary, but also logic, oratory skills, the ability to competently, freely, easily speak Kazakh without a language barrier. In this regard, I would like to note the special activity and interests of the students of the specialties «Sociology» and «Journalism» Amilaeva Arailym, Yerkebulanova Assylkhan, Amangeldy Assel, Manapova Ayazhan, Serikzhanova Ayazhan, Zadabekova Aizhan, Askarova Alua, Zhanuzak Bota, Danyarova Aruzhan.
The results of the tournament were summed up by Associate Professor of the Department of Practical Kazakh Language, Ph.D., game developer S.E. Karybaeva and for the 1st place handed over the board linguistic game «Shańyraq» of the author's working.
