Bridge to Teaching Excellence English Teacher Development Webinar Series with the USA teacher

August Garnsey, English Language Fellow from the USA and Akzhan Abdykhalykova, Associate Professor teach together the disciplines "CLIL in foreign language teaching", "STEM in foreign language teaching", "Multimedia technologies in foreign language teaching" to the 1st and 2nd courses graduate students of the specialty "Foreign language: two foreign languages" at the of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages Department of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

As a result of the knowledge presented in these disciplines, we invite everyone to a series of online webinars, where August Garnsey, Akzhan Abdykhalykova and graduate students Zhenis Aliya, Galkova Elina, Ashir Anel, Tleugabylova Aigerim, Aukenova Aigerim, Yerbolganova Zhadyra.

 

We are glad to invite you to our online workshop series for English language teachers across Kazakhstan!

In this series, August Garnsey (US Department of State, English Language Fellow, Nur-Sultan) along with additional invited co-speakers, will share their knowledge and experience with new innovative methods and techniques in English language teaching. Webinars will focus on practical application and give participants new ideas and ways to enhance or improve their current teaching practices.

Dates and times of the webinars:

April 7, 7.00-8.00 pm: "Practical activities for Kazakhstan using the CLIL approach";

April 14, 7.00-8.00 pm: "Leadership of teachers in the development of a dynamic conversational club in English in Kazakhstan";

April 21, 7.00-8.00 pm: "Integration of American English resources for effective ELT in Kazakhstan";

April 28, 7.00-8.00 pm: "Tips from Kazakhstani English Access teachers: best practices for online and offline lessons".

 

To receive a certificate for your professional development hours, participants must attend at least 3 out of the 4 webinars. Certificates will be issued after the completion of the webinar series.
