On April 12, 2023, a lecture on the topic «Theater and us» was held at the Department of Practical Kazakh Language, dedicated to the dramatic activity of the figure «Alash» Koshke Kemengeruly and the history of the national theater. It was attended by the head of the Department of Kazakh Literature, Ph.D., writer Kaiyrbek Rizabekuly Kemenger, teachers and students of the 1st year of the specialty «Russian language and literature» of the Philological Faculty of the L.N.Gumilyov ENU.
At the beginning of the event Associate Professor of the organizing department Gulbaira Otelbay introduced the audience to the activities of Koshke Kemengeruly as a doctor, scientist, journalist, linguist, poet, and playwright. «All the figures of Alash were not only educated, but also versatile. In particular, the hero of our lecture has always been in search of new knowledge and improving skills in such cities as Omsk, Tashkent, etc., which today is called academic mobility,» she said.
The lecturer of the class Kaiyrbek Rizabekuly shared a rich material about the dramaturgy of his great-grandfather: «The current Kazakh State Drama Theater named after M.Auezov was officially opened on January 13, 1926 with the play «The Golden Ring» by K.Kemengeruly. This is evidenced by the poster in the newspaper «Enbekshi Kazak» (now «Egemen Kazakhstan»), the author of which was Dinshe Adiluly, who later became the director of this theater. They were supported and assisted in the opening by the Commissioner of Public Education, by current standards, the Minister of Education, Smagul Saduakasuly. Thus, they left an inexhaustible trace in the legacy of Alash».
The students, in turn, prepared for this lesson in their own way. Amina Nurlybayeva and Mayra Saparbayeva prepared slides dedicated to the life and work of the Kemengeruly Koshke. Gulnaz Nurtas and Merey Olzhabay interviewed the director of the department «Jastar», the artistic director of the theater «Shanyrak» ENU Zhambyl Tilep. Aruna Kalimat memorized M.Zhumabayev's verse «Men zhastarga senemin», and Aruzhan Onalbayeva – kui Kurmangazy «Balbirauyn».
To the question «How often do you visit the theater?» the guest replied: «Very often. Every day a lot of information comes into the computer. To save memory, we use an antivirus program. Theater is also needed as this antivirus. After all, we also witness not only positive events every day, but also negative ones too. After such a day, visiting the theater is very useful for human health. It also cleanses us of bad information and gives us a chance to stay awake. Therefore, visiting the theater should become a tradition».
At the end of the lesson, Associate Professor of the Department of Practical Kazakh Language Akmaral Nurmаkhanbetova thanked the lecturer for the cultural and educational lecture and the students for their active participation.
