Implementation of the idea of "Virtual Department”

At the Faculty of Philology, weekly meetings are held with students and undergraduates as part of the implementation of the idea of the university leadership "Virtual structural unit".

The Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages holds similar meetings according to the previously approved schedule 3 times a week, which has found a great response among students of the educational program "Foreign language: two foreign languages".

Students and undergraduates are connected to a virtual meeting with the head of the department Beisembaeva Zh.A. and ask questions that they would like to be answered, and also talk about problems in solving which they need the help of the department, teachers and faculty.

On Tuesdays, the responsible teachers of the department and curators of academic groups meet online on the Microsoft Teams platform with students of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd courses of the Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages EP. Frequently asked questions from our students include questions about an increased scholarship for pedagogical specialties, about a presidential scholarship, about receiving a certificate from a place of study in paper form, about the military department, about the possibility of working off missed classes for technical reasons.

On Thursdays, the virtual department is held for graduate students of the 4th year, who now have a lot of questions about professional practice, future employment and working out a state grant and a rural quota. For them, the job placement coordinator Murzagulova A.B. and head of practice in the department Doldinova S.A. Advisor D.A. Kydyrbaeva answers all questions about the organization of the educational process together with the head of the department.

In 2020, admission to the magistracy of EP "7M01719 - Foreign language: two foreign languages" was 121 people, and the total number of undergraduates of the department in the 2020-2021 academic year is 194 people. In the online format of training, they all have a variety of questions, which the head of the department and academic advisers answer every Saturday.

The virtual department is an effective tool for interaction between the head of the structural unit and the teaching staff with students in quarantine conditions of work and study. The Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages is ready to continue such online activities with students, applicants, employers and heads of practice bases and in a traditional training format.
