On october 9, 2018, the first stage of the International Student Olympiad in Russian literature and language, devoted to the 200th anniversary of F.I. Buslaeva, which is carried out in two stages. in Astana on the basis of the philological faculty of the ENU named after L.N. Gumilyov, the second stage will be held on October 16–19, 2018 in Moscow on the basis of the Moscow State Pedagogical University.
The competition event of the 1st stage involves the following nomination - writing an essay on the topic “Spiritual Revival - the Way to the Prosperity of the Country”.
To the participation of the I-th stage of the Olympiad were invited students and undergraduates, students of non-language specialties. More than 100 students participated.
The co-chairman of the organizing committee of Nurgali, R. R., Ph.D., professor, head of the Russian philology department, welcomed the participants.
April 25, 2018, Fyodor Ivanovich Buslaev, a world-famous scientist, philologist, linguist, teacher, who glorified philology with his works on the history of Russian literature, history of art, ethnography, and pedagogy, was 200 years old. As a professor at Moscow University and a member of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences, a teacher and researcher in the history and grammar of the Russian language, Old Russian literature, folklore, iconography and book miniatures, versatile scientist and surprisingly talented person, F.I. Buslaev in his many scientific works fascinated readers with deep knowledge, erudition, beauty of the logic of his mind. The “ideal professor” taught and educated young people all his life, taught Russian language and literature.
The contribution of the outstanding Russian scientist F. I. Buslaev to the development of the methodology of teaching the Russian language is immense. The views of Buslaev, which are reflected both in his linguistic works and in educational editions, determined the further development of the national pedagogy, without losing its significance at the present time.
Taking into account the relevance of the historical aspect of studying language and literature, the importance of culture and history in the formation of national consciousness is proposed to devote the first stage of the Olympiad to a discussion of the cultural program document of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Ruhani Zhanyru”.
According to the President N.A. Nazarbayeva, "we need to look into the past in order to understand the present and see the contours of the future." On the great role and importance of language, literature, culture in the history and formation of the nation, F.I. Buslaev. So, for example, a scholar-philologist gave a special place to literature: "Literature is called upon to lead the people spiritually in its historical way, it guides the nation spiritually."
