Recently, it has been very difficult for school graduates to make their choice of a profession. This is due to the fact that schoolchildren have practically no ideas about the labor market, about the requirements for personal qualities and professional training of specialists, about working conditions and employers. Therefore, vocational guidance at school comes down to helping children and their parents make the right and unmistakable choice in the world of modern professions. In order for a student to make the right choice, it is not enough to test him or tell him about a particular profession. He must be convinced that this is the best choice of all, according to his abilities and aspirations. Therefore, the teachers of L.N. Gumilyov ENU, for a number of years, have been actively working with schoolchildren in schools in the city of Nur-Sultan. December 3, 2020 Acting Professor of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Philology, Ph.D. Zhusupova R.F. conducted career guidance work at school No. 3 in Nur-Sultan with students in grades 10-11 online. At the meeting, the issues of delivery of specialized subjects and the procedure for submitting documents for a grant were discussed.
