In the context of the coronavirus pandemic, first-year master students of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, specialty 7M01719 - Foreign language: two foreign languages, Komekbaeva Balzhan and Kuandyk Asel opened a YouTube channel called "Start2Talk": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1FboImIGpY. The YouTube channel is intended for those who study English themselves and for those who want to improve their experience in teaching a foreign language. The videos on this channel are developed on the basis of projects and assignments in the disciplines that they study in the “Modern Methodology of Foreign Language Education” and “Innovative Methods of Teaching a Foreign Language”.
Their first video began with filming on the task of creating a Personal Learning Network in binary classes under the guidance of two teachers: Professor Zhusupova R.F. and foreign Kebir M. Jemal. The objective of the assignment was to develop an individual educational social network, for example, YouTube channel, blog, websites, Instagram account and other social networks. To this end, they opened a YouTube channel and filmed a video on the topic “Teaching poetry Enhances-Speaking Skills”.
In the future, undergraduates will share their experience and knowledge gained at the university.
