Result of cooperation

11-13 November 2018 at the Eurasian national University L. N. Gumilyov was held international scientific-practical seminar "Philological knowledge at the modern stage: science, education, practice", organized by the Department of academic Affairs and the Department of Russian Philology, L. N. Gumilyov ENU together with the Humanitarian Institute of the North-Caucasus Federal University (Russian Federation). The seminar was moderated by the first Vice – rector for academic affairs of ENU, doctor of pedagogical Sciences, professor Moldazhanova A.A.

The program of the seminar was rich and included an excursion to the Museum and memorial complex "ALGERIA", and friendly communication of like-minded people at the round tables, simultaneously held in different classrooms of the ELB, and a master class, which was given by the head of the Department of Russian language of the North Caucasus Federal University, doctor of Philology Khodus V. P. to 1st year undergraduates of the faculty of Philology specialty "Russian language and literature".

But the most solemn and exciting events were planned on the last day of the seminar, before which the words of welcome were made by the Vice-rector of the ENU Moldazhanova A.A. and advisor to the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and Koropchenko A.

Among those present at the seminar of faculty and graduate students of the ENU lively interest was aroused by reports:

- "Strategic priorities of higher education in the Republic of Kazakhstan" ,

- "Problems and prospects of teaching Russian in a multilingual audience" by Khodus V. P.,

- "Philology on the way of formation of new humanitarian knowledge(experience of KSU. Sh. Ualikhanov) Vice-rector of Kokshetau state University named after sh. Ualikhanov, doctor of Philology, Professor Zhakupova D.,

– "Russian literature in the context of Kazakhstani national project "Spiritual devepopment" the head of the Department of Russian Philology of ENU Nurgali K. R.,

– "The question about the relationship of language and culture: the linguistic aspect" of Professor of the Department of Russian Philology, L. N. Gumilyov ENU Bastovoi J. S.,

– "Russian language for the Turkic-speaking audience," the associate Professor of the Department of Russian Philology, L. N. Gumilyov ENU Maybalayeva A.

At the seminar, there was also a ceremony of awarding students, undergraduates and doctoral students of educational programs of Russian Philology, who took prizes in the international student Olympiad in Russian literature, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Department of Russian Philology, held in Moscow on October 9-19, 2018.the team of students from the Department of Russian Philology, d. sc., professor Nurgali K. R. has taken full-time and part-time participation in this event. Members of the team of our University became winners in various categories, and doctoral student of the department Asan Akerke (scientific supervisor Nurgaly K. R.) took the first place in the competition of scientific projects in the framework of this Olympiad.

The official part of the seminar was the presentation of the textbook "Russian language for the Turkic-speaking audiences," under the General editorship of doctor of pedagogical Sciences, Professor Moldazhanova A. A. created by efforts of scientists of the two countries.

This is the first textbook in the post-Soviet space, designed to study the Russian language in the Turkic-speaking audience at an advanced stage. The textbook received positive feedback from practitioners. Students of Russian language courses at the Humanitarian Institute of the North Caucasus Federal University of Russia will soon begin classes in the new textbook.

It is symbolic that the welcoming speech at the opening of the event was delivered as the first Vice – rector and as the project Manager-Vice-rector for academic Affairs of ENU Gumilyov Asemgul Moldazhanova: "The publication of the Kazakh-Russian version of this textbook is a landmark event. The successful publication of a joint licensed textbook of the Russian language in Russia opens the way for new projects in the field of cooperation between linguists in the field of the Russian language, as well as publishing houses of Kazakhstan and Russia. The publication is the result of scientific and methodological cooperation of scientists of the Eurasian national University Exhibition of the North-Caucasian Federal University, the purpose of which is to share experience of teaching the Russian language, the enrichment of the methodological potential of the educational process in both universities, the development and strengthening of international relations in the sphere of science and education. The project will continue to develop-in the long term is expected a series of textbooks that tell and introduce the culture of the Turkic peoples." The Vice-rector congratulated the authors of the book on the successful publication of the book and thanked the co-head of the project Khodus Vyacheslav, and expressed confidence in the further beneficial cooperation of Kazakh and Russian universities. 

In his response, the head of the Department of Russian language Professor Vyacheslav Khodus as a specialist of the Russian language, and as a co-author of the project from the Russian side said: "Textbooks on the Russian language for students and schoolchildren of Turkic-speaking ethnic groups in Russia is sorely lacking. Therefore, the appearance of such a textbook as "Russian for the Turkic - speaking audience" is a really important and joyful event."

According to the adviser of the Embassy of the Russian Federation, the successful publication of the Russian language textbook opens the way to the discussion of the current state of the problems and the search for constructive solutions on the development of Russian-Kazakh relations in the field of science, education and culture, new projects in the field of cooperation between Russian language specialists of Kazakhstan and Russia.

The textbook thus became the embodiment of a new concept of language teaching, according to which a linguist is obliged not only to speak a particular language, but also to carry out intercultural communication.

At parting, the scientists of the two countries exchanged gifts and books, which will remind about warm and friendly meetings in Astana for a long time.
