The first scientific seminar of the 2021-2022 academic year

On October 21, 2021 at the Department of Kazakh Linguistics of the Philological Faculty of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov, a traditional scientific seminar began its work in an online form. The event was organized by the candidate of philological sciences, acting professor responsible for the scientific work of the department Gulnar Әdebietkyzy. Teachers of the faculty, doctoral students and young scientists took part in the seminar. At the first seminar, doctor of philological sciences, professor G. Sagidolda made a report on the theme "Topical issues of Altaiologyin the XXI century." In her report, the scientist noted that on the basis of N. Baskakov's works, the Turkic languages ​​are divided into Western Hunnic and Eastern Hunnish branches, marking five stages of the linguistic era. She also mentioned Altai hypothesis and the issue of the origin of Altaiology.

Scientists asked questions, exchanged opinions and shared ideas in the field of studying Altaistics. Regular scientific seminars at the department allow scientists to analyze issues in priority areas in the field of linguistics.
