On February 1, 2021 advisers Ilyasova L.M., Ayazbaeva A.M. and Kydyrbaeva D.A. of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages had an online meeting was held with 1-4 year students, holders of the badge of honor "Altyn belgi" and Winners / Awardees of various competitions and Olympiads. A total of 96 students with the sign "Altyn belgi" are enrolled in the 1st-4th year.
The meeting took place in the form of an online conversation on the Microsoft Teams platform, where the students got to know each other and discussed training issues. 1st year students shared their first impressions of studying in the 1st semester, passing the first examination session. 4th year students spoke about their participation in competitions and olympiads in the English language, international conferences, various projects, as well as the academic mobility program.
Haumenova Arina, a 4th year student of the SHT-41 group, took part with her project in The International Competition of Projects in November 2020 in Serbia, where, together with her scientific adviser A.M. Tulegenova, took 2nd place in the "University Start" nomination. Arina told about her participation in this competition at the meeting, and also shared her memories of studying in the 1st-2nd year, gave excellent advice for learning English and studying at the university in general.
Kanatova Zhuldyz from the group SHT-45 is an active student who went to study abroad 2 times under the program of academic mobility. Zhuldyz spoke about her studies at Vytautas Magnus University, Lithuania and the University of Ostrava, Czech Republic, what it gave her, as well as meeting and communicating with students from other countries.
Ashir nel, a student of the IYA-42 group, also made an excellently prepared speech, shared her experience in learning foreign languages and was able to interest students to take part in scientific project competitions, since she herself is a prize-winner (3rd place) International competition of scientific projects “Science and Technology ”(Scientific supervisor Zhusupova RF).
Further, the advisers spoke in more detail about the academic mobility program, according to which the best students of the department, with a high academic performance, excellent knowledge of foreign languages and active activity in extracurricular activities of the faculty / university, can study for 1 semester at a foreign partner university, where they will meet other foreign students will be trained in the best universities in the world, where teachers will also share their experience. The advisers also provided information about international conferences that will be held in February and April 2021. Students can actively participate in these conferences by writing articles by topic and giving a presentation.
Students were interested in this and actively asked questions after the discussion.
At the end of the meeting, future 4th year graduates wished the rest of the students success in their studies and said that they would always remember the wonderful university years.
