On May 8, 2020, an online webinar “Modern IT Technologies in Teaching English: Distance Learning” was held at the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages of the Philological Faculty of L.N. Gumilyov ENU. Speakers of the webinar were Ph.D., Assoc.prof. Zhusupova R.F. with her topic "MEP as a trend of online learning", MA Tulegenova A.M. with her topic “Digital Storytelling in the Classes of the English Language”, PhD Aldaberdigyzy A. with her topic “Digital Storytelling in TEFL”, Ph.D., associate professor Abdykhalykova A.M. with her topic "Modern online resources in teaching English", Jose Humberto Baesa Estrada with his topic "YouTube Platform in Teaching English" and PhD Akynova D.B. with her topic “MEP as Online teaching Trend ”. The webinar was attended by over 100 participants. Among them were professors, undergraduates and students of ENU. Listeners gave positive feedback and asked questions on topics of interest to them.
