Recently, among students (boys and girls) and the teaching staff, an ONLINE DRAUGHTS TOURNAMENT "64" was held, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The tournament was organized by the Faculty of Philology with the support of the Urban Draughts Federation and with the support of the primary trade union organization of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University at the university level.
The organizers of the competition are the dean of the Faculty of Philology A.B. Beisenbay, senior lecturer of the faculty of philology, master of sports S.I. Issayev, deputy dean Tulegenova A.M. and head of the theory and practice of foreign languages department Beisembaeva Zh.A.
The main judge of the tournament is the President of the Draughts Federation of city Nur-Sultan, master of sports K.S. Abishev.
The tournament was attended by about 60 players from the faculties of philology, mechanics and mathematics, social sciences, economics, information technology, natural science, architecture and construction, physics and engineering, law and education. Many students of philological and mechanics and mathematics faculties have shown themselves especially actively. The game consisted of 9 rounds according to the Swiss system.
The highlight of this year's tournament was the online format on the PlayOK platform. The tournament was held among the teaching staff, boys and girls.

The winners and active participants of the tournament were awarded special medals, diplomas, certificates, valuable and memorable gifts on behalf of the primary trade union organization of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and the Urban Draughts Federation.
At the end of the competition, the dean of the faculty Beisenbay A.B. made a welcoming speech, president of the Urban Draughts Federation, chief judge Abishev K.S. commented on the level of the tournament and thanked all the participants. Teachers and students who took part in the tournament also shared their impressions and expressed gratitude.
