On December 15, 2020, first-year students (FL-12), under the guidance of the senior teacher of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages ​​A. A. Baybatyrova, held an online curatorial hour "Traditions and modern trends in celebrating Christmas." The spectators of the action were students and teachers of the department, who learned about interesting facts about the origin of Christmas, the history of its development, as well as modern ways of celebrating it in various countries. The organizers shared their knowledge about the attributes of Christmas and the actions people take during the celebration. Students spoke about the traditions that have survived to this day, as well as about new trends that have arisen in connection with various socio-cultural changes in the countries.

In addition to educational information, the students also offered entertainment activities: they sang a song, talked about films in which events take place on Christmas, and made a quiz. The theme of Christmas aroused considerable interest among students, as well as teachers, who thanked the FL-12 group for their presentation.
