On April 12, 2021, the lecturers of the Theory and Foreign language Department A.A. Baybatyrova, M.T. Kozhakanova, Zh.D. Nurzhanova and A.E. Niyazova
organized an online reading contest «Бессмертно имя твое, Абай!» in the groups FL-12 and SHT-15. The students presented creative works of the great thinker: they quoted poems and book of words in Kazakh, as well as their translations in Russian and English. The FL-12 group opened the competition with a brief excursion of Abai's biography and creativity in order to demonstrate a wide range of topics covered in his works. Students and lecturers of the department once again heard deep thoughts that are relevant in the modern world.
As a result, the jury of four lecturers awarded the following places:
1-A. Kaliyeva and A. Bakdaulet
2-Z. Akhmetova and A. Otebalieva
3-A. Sadyk and A. Karaman
It should be noted that the voting of the audience was organized, according to the results of which Z. Akhmetova, B. Nazymbek, M. Zhumash were awarded as the best readers of Abay's poetry.
