Scientific internship for undergraduates in Frankfurt

In the first decade of December 2019, 2nd year undergraduates of the specialty 6M020700 - "Translation Studies" Ospanova Aigerim, Baimurzina Ainash, Seisekenova Ortigul, Baimagambetova Gulnaz, and Isaan Damira underwent a research internship in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). Johann Wolfgang Goethe University holds a leading position among international research centers. The high rating of this university among other research institutions is ensured by a large selection of educational programs and a high-quality level of teaching.

On December 3, 2019, undergraduates took part in a training conference on the topic: “West meets East”, dedicated to reading reports on dissertation topics by students of Kazakhstan and China under the guidance of Professor I. Nevskaya They made their reports on the topic under study and received some recommendations on their work. The conference also featured several presentations by undergraduates and doctoral students at the Goethe University of Frankfurt.

The internship allowed me to gain additional experience and establish contacts with foreign applicants with a degree. Graduate students visited the university’s library, where they were able to analyze data on the topic of the master's thesis and work with electronic sources of the library fund.

In general, the scientific internship was very interesting, useful and effective. At the end of the program, undergraduates obtained certificates of participation in a research internship.
