The Department of Chinese philology held an event dedicated to the Mid-Autumn Chinese holiday “中秋节”

On November 4, 2021, an event dedicated to the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival "中秋节" was held at the Department of Chinese Philology of the Faculty of Philology.  The purpose of the event is to introduce students, who study Chinese language  feel the atmosphere and learn more about their traditions. 

Mid-Autumn Festival (Zhongqiujie) is one of the most important days in China.  Zhongqiujie is a traditional harvest festival with a history dating back to the Tang Dynasty.
 

Traditionally, on this day, the Chinese give each other cookies baked in the shape of the moon.  They are called "yuebing".  Many similar traditions were presented by all students of the Department of Chinese Philology during the event.  With the help of the students' activity, the event was held at the highest level.
 

At the end of the event, the students expressed their gratitude for such a great opportunity and great experience, and the teachers presented useful books to the students for their active participation.
