MODERN APPROACHES IN TEACHING ACADEMIC ENGLISH

Within the framework of the Decade of Science of the ENU them. L.N. Gumilyov, which runs from 02 to 11 April 2019, the Foreign Languages Theory and Practice Department of the Faculty of Philology held an International Scientific and Practical Seminar “MODERN APPROACHES IN TEACHING ACADEMIC ENGLISH” on April 9, 2019.

The purpose of the seminar is to exchange experience in the use of innovative and multimedia technologies and modern approaches in training future English teachers and instructors.

The issues of Kazakhstan's problems in schools, the problems of learning academic English, textbooks were discussed. The seminar was very informative and interesting for students. They actively participated and asked questions to the speakers. After the seminar, there was a discussion between the teachers of the Department and foreign speakers.
