International scientific methodological online-seminar

The language is the soul of the nation, the indicator of culture which has no boundaries. On February 20, 2020, the Department of Practical Kazakh Language and the Department of Foreign Languages of L.N Gumilyov Eurasian National University in cooperation with Kazan Federal University, Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication, Department of Gomumi Linguistics and Turkology of Ege University organized IV International scientific methodological online-seminar on the topic "Improvement of Methods of Language Teaching and Best Practices". The purpose of this traditional methodological event is to discuss current issues through best practices in language teaching.

The Director of Leo Tolstoy Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor R.R. Zamaletdinov and Deputy Dean for Research, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University N.S. Kassymbekova took the floor and noted the importance of the seminar. Further discussions were made by keynote speakers as Professor of Literature of Ege University, Doctor of Philology O. Mustafa and Head of the Department of Tatar Language and Literature of Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after M. Akmully, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor I.S. Nassipov, and Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Sagymbayeva Zh.E. The event was attended by the faculty and special guests such as Professor Baesa Estrada Jose Humberto, Kebir Mohammed Jemal, Israel Beyene Mogis. The online-seminar was attended by the director of the Kayum Nasyri Institute, Professor of the Department of General Linguistics and Turkology A.Sh. Yusupova, and Head of the Department of Practical Kazakh Language of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Professor K.S. Kulmanov moderated.

An online seminar on topical issues was followed by a plenary session. Such reporters as M. Oner (Turkey, Izmir) “Yana tel ham kupmagnalelek” in XIX century, K.S. Fathullova (Russia, Kazan) “Contemporary pedagogical technologies in teaching of languages”, Zh. A. Zhunisova (Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan) ‘Innovative digital technology’, T. Nagiyeva (Azerbaycan, Baku) Azerbaycan ve Turker dillerinde hitablar, sade cümleni genişleten araç olarak, А.G. Khamitova (Kazakhstan, Nur-Sultan) ‘Effective ways of teaching Professional Texts’; Baesa Estrada Jose Humberto (USA, Mexico) Podcasts: ICT, music, phonetics for ESL in Kazakhstan ” presented their articles. In these articles, modern approaches to language teaching have been discussed proceeded by the questions and answer session. According to the program, the online seminar was divided into four sections: "Problems in Teaching Languages ​​as a Mother Language", "Problems in Teaching Languages ​​as a Second Language", "Language Teaching: Modern and Innovative Technologies", and "Turkic Languages ​​in Intercultural Communication". We believe that this international methodological online-seminar, which has international meaning will have a significant impact on the present and future of language teaching in the future. The event concluded with the view that issues in the current language community are closely linked and that co-operation will continue
