INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIAD OF RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE AT MOSCOW STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

16-19 October  2018 in Moscow on the basis of the Department of Russian literature at Moscow state pedagogical University held the international student Olympiad in Russian language and literature (Russian Federation) with the Eurasian national University named L. N. Gumilyov (Republic of Kazakhstan) , dedicated to the 200th anniversary of F. I. Buslaev in the framework of the traditional conference of young philologists "Philological science in the XXI century. View of the young "- the successor of the International and all-Russian student festival "Teacher of Russian literature", which for 15 years brings together talented young teachers of Russian language and literature.

         The competition was attended by foreign universities and educational institutions of Russia and Kazakhstan. The participants of the Olympiad were students and undergraduates of higher educational institutions of near and far abroad. Eurasian University. L. N. Gumilyov was presented by the team of the faculty of Philology, prepared by the Department of Russian Philology.   The team includes second-year students and undergraduates. Team leader is professor Nurgali K. R., Doctor of philology and the head of the department of Russian Philology.

At the opening of the Olimpiad, the Director of the Institute of Philology, professor Uryupin I.S., head of the Department of Russian Philology of the ENU professor Nurgali K.R. made welcoming speech. Jury composed of the following members: chairman – professor Mineralova I.G., the head of the department of Russian literature, Moscow state pedagogical university (Russian federation), co-chairs - professor Nurgali K.R., head department of Russian philology of ENU L.N. Gumilyov (Kazakhstan), professor Borovskaya E.R.

The main goals of the Olympiad:

·  creation of necessary conditions to support gifted students and popularization of scientific knowledge;

·    demonstration of the practical importance of Russian language skills for success in various fields;

·   identification of talents in their own language creativity of participants, assessment of knowledge of methods of philological research.

Competitive events:

·        competition of experts in Russian literature and language;

·        competitive lessons;

·        competition of scientific projects.

The Olympiad was held in three rounds.

The first round was held in the form of competitive lessons in Russian language and literature (3-9 classes). To participate in the next round were allowed participants who scored the most points. Students wrote an essay on the proposed topic based on a literary work or piece of work. The participants of the third round presented a presentation project within the overall theme of the Olympiad. Prepared by second-year students of the faculty of Philology ENU. L. N. Gumilyov Kuanysheva Maya, Anarbekova Dayanoi the presentation provoked a lively discussion among the participants of the Olympic games.

Chairman of the jury doctor of philology., professor I.G. Mineralova in her final speech noted the high level of training of students and the their keen interest in the study of Russian literature and language, thanked the university in the person of the head of the team for their professional work. For the third year, students of the faculty of Philology of the university take part in such an event, demonstrating good results in grammar, oral and written speech, in the knowledge of the country of the language and literature. The competitive tasks included rounds were very difficult, they are quite comparable with the criteria of the Olympic games! The jury, wich included representatives of all universities, noted the creativity of the performance of the welcoming speech of ENU L.N. Gumilyov.
