International Conference “Current Issues of Romano-Germanic Philology and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages”

On October 25, 2019 the Foreign Languages Theory and Practice Department ​​of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, together with the partner institution, the Educational Institution “Francis Skorina Gomel State University” held the annual IX International Scientific and Practical Conference “Current Issues of Romano-Germanic Philology and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages”.

The conference was attended online by universities from Russia, Ukraine and the USA: Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian State Transport University, Belarusian State University, Belarusian State Economic University, P.O. Sukhov Gomel State Technical University named after, Francis Skorina Gomel State University, Minsk State Linguistic University, I.P. Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Moscow City University, Perm National Research Polytechnic University, Zaporozhny State Medical University, N. Gogol Nezhinsky State University, Sam Houston State University, Texas (USA).

A welcome online speech for guests and participants of the conference was made by the head of the Foreign Languages Theory and Practice Department of the Philological Faculty of our university, candidate of philological sciences Zhanna Beisembaeva and presented information regarding the general activities of her department. Roza Zhussupova, candidate of pedagogical sciences, acting professor of the Department Foreign Languages Theory and Practice ​​made a plenary report on the topic “MODERN MOTIVATIONAL STRATEGIES IN TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGES”.
