Within the framework of the program "English teacher from the United States for one academic year" of the US Embassy in Kazakhstan in cooperation by Georgetown University (USA) was sent Master August Garnsey as an English teacher to the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National Iniversity. In addition to his disciplines for undergraduate and graduate students from October 1, 2020 to January 8, 2021, August Garnsey conducted a methodological seminar "Google Products in Teaching Foreign Languages" for the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages faculty. At these seminars, these online products were considered: Google Classroom - a web service for distributing assignments and evaluating students' work in a paperless way; Google docs - a set of convenient online tools for joint filling, editing and design of text files; Google forms - online tools for conducting surveys, compiling lists of students, collecting email addresses, conducting quizzes; Google site - creation of a website for E-portfolio, etc. Based on the results of these methodological seminars, all teachers recognized their work as fruitful, contributing to improving the quality of education, as well as stimulating the exchange of experience in the field of modern technologies in teaching English.
