The master's student of the educational program "Linguistics" becomes the owner of an international grant

The Pushkin Institute has determined the winners of the CIS Youth Grant Support Competition

 The Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language with the assistance of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, for the first time held a Competition for grant support for humanitarian research and project initiatives of young people named after Academician V. G. Kostomarov.

The competition is held in several stages from July 19th  to December 30th , 2021.

The organizing committee received 364 applications from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukraine. The candidates offered their ideas in two categories:

- information and educational projects;

- research projects.

Based on the results of the expert evaluation, 30 semi-finalists were identified on September 7, who presented their projects to the members of the competition commission in an online format from September 13th to 16th . The projects were evaluated according to the following criteria:

- relevance, novelty, social / scientific significance of the project (demand by the target audience, focus on solving a specific significant problem);

- literacy and logic of presentation;

- the realism and achievability of the declared project results within the specified time frame;

- the validity of the proposed cost estimate.

The winners of the Competition were the authors of 10 projects, including 7 projects from Russia, 2 projects from Kazakhstan and 1 project from Kyrgyzstan.

The competition was attended by students and undergraduates of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics. We are pleased to inform you that the individual project of a 2-year master's student of the EP "Linguistics" Tynyshbek Saida (scientific adviser Prof. Zhuravleva E. A.), prepared within the framework of the topic of the master's thesis, first passed into the group of 30 semi-finalists and, after being presented online, was selected among the top 10 projects.

The list of winners of the Competition who will receive funding in the amount of 50,000 Russian rubles for the implementation of their own projects, is published on the website of the Pushkin Institute https://www.pushkin.institute/news/detail.php?ID=29815.

 Then the finalists will sign agreements with the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language, receive grants, implement projects until November 30, 2021, and in December all the winners will meet in Moscow, where they will present the results of their work.
