On May 20, 2021, a curatorial hour was held at the Faculty of Philology for first-year students on the topic "RELIGIOUS EXTREMISM - A THREAT TO HUMANITY." The curatorial hour was organized by the teachers of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages M.T. Kozhakanova and G.A. Doszhan. The purpose of the curatorial hour is to instill in students a sense of tolerance, a philosophical and critical attitude to the surrounding reality, to promote spiritual improvement and self-realization, to strengthen the feeling of Kazakhstani patriotism. The main guest of the curatorial hour was Doctor of Religious Sciences, scientist-theologian Myrzaev Balgabek told the students about the current problems of religion, the main factors of manifestation of extremism in our country, how to become an educated religious person. The event contains the forms of conversation, the story of the invited guest, and the event was accompanied by viewing the presentation and video. Students were active, asked questions of interest to them. Students were especially interested in textbooks and websites where they receive correct information about religion.
This event is aimed at shaping public opinion aimed to expand the horizons of students about extremism and terrorism, form the public consciousness and civic position of the younger generation, the ability to cultivate a tolerant attitude towards each other and the ability to live in peace with other people, an understanding that any manifestations of extremism and terrorism lead to responsibility
