On 03/31/2021, a thematic event was held among students of two groups FL13 and FL14, curators Darmenova A.E. and Ibragimova K.E., as well as teachers of the Department of Theory and Practice of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology, L.N. Gumilyov ENU
in online format on the Microsoft Teams platform.
Goals of the curatorial hour:
- to get acquainted with the opportunities offered by the ENU. L.N. Gumilyov to students;
- contribute to fostering a sense of patriotism and pride in their university in students;
- to expand the knowledge and understanding of students about the university;
- to contribute to the education of interest in public life.
During the curatorial hours, interesting topics were discussed, presentations were prepared on the history of the emergence of the L.N. Gumilyov, a quiz was held with numerous interesting questions about how not only students, but also teachers are familiar with the history and facts about the university. Students and teaching staff actively participated in the curatorial hour; presented interesting facts, information in the form of slides.
Students arranged interviews; each student told about the reason for choosing the specialty "Foreign language: two foreign languages", as well as the choice of a university upon admission. Many students, as it turned out, are members of various communities, circles located in ENU.
The result was summed up by the curators, invited teachers and the students themselves, who expressed a desire to conduct thematic curatorial hours more often, as well as congratulate everyone on the upcoming 25th anniversary of the university.
