March 2, 2022 associate professor of the Department of practical Kazakh language, Candidate of Philology A.R. Naimanbay held a round table on the topic «Environmental Literacy – the basis of the future». The event was attended by 1st year students of the faculty of natural sciences, specialty «geography» (group Gg-12). One of the most pressing global problems is the state of the environment. Today, the presence of environmental literacy in order to protect natural resources is a modern requirement. Pollution of land, water and air leads to environmental disasters, the consequences of which threaten people's lives.
Since the last century, the planet has been sounding the alarm about the conservation of green spaces and habitats. During the round table, students discussed the topics «Fundamentals of environmental literacy» (S. Sarina), «Ways to solve environmental problems» (M. Naby), «Ecology of Kazakhstan» (A. Tokenova), «Environmental situation in the world» (D. Saginbekova, M.Tuyambaeva) and shared their research. The participants of the event came to the conclusion that the purity of the body and soul, the purity of the environment is the key to a brighter future.
