On December 5, a 2nd year undergraduate student of the Department of TPIL, educational program "M019 - Training of teachers of a foreign language", specialty "7M01719- Foreign language: two foreign languages", group M019-1719-21-01 Makulbek Talshyn Saparқұlқyzy, supervisor Kusanova BKh, held a round table on the theme "Let's say NO to corruption!". The round table was held within the framework of the decade "December 9 - International Anti-Corruption Day" and under the guidance of the senior lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages Otyzbayeva Karlygash Zhalenovna.

It should be noted that the senior teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages Zagorulya Oksana Leonidovna, Toguzbayeva Guldraykhan Mendybaevna, students of the group RYAL-12, RYAL-14, ERPZS-12, MEN-12 were participants in the round table.

The round table was held in the format of a discussion between students. The students discussed the questions: "What is a bribe and how does it differ from a gift?", "In what places and how does corruption manifest itself?", "What role do the media and social networks play in the fight against corruption?" and other questions. The participants tried to find the cause of corruption in various fields of activity, as well as ways to solve this problem, put forward their own solutions. In the second part of the event, the participants played a small impromptu role-playing game, a talk show with different roles, such as a village akim, a lawyer, an employee of the Public Service Center, a mother of many children, a psychologist, a single father, a police officer, an alcoholic, a deputy and many other roles that spoke about how corruption affected their lives. Students not only improvised and played roles, but were also able to touch upon the actual problems of corruption for different segments of the population.

 

In the end, the senior teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages expressed their positive opinion about the round table, also noted that they were amazed at how the current generation can empathize with and understand current problems.
