As part of the implementation of the “Strategy Kazakhstan-2050” on November 3, 2017, the students of the group “Translation Studies” 21-k under the guidance of the teacher acting Associate Professor, Ph.D. Department of Russian Philology Rakhimzhanova G.R. held a round table on the topic: “20 answers to important questions of the program article of the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev. Looking to the future: the modernization of social consciousness.
During the round table, the following questions were discussed and answered:
·What does the third modernization of Kazakhstan mean and why did the President of the country announce it?
·Why is a new modernization cycle of Kazakhstan necessary?
·What is the main essence of the beginning of the renewal processes in politics, economics and public consciousness?
·Why should every Kazakhstani be competitive? Why is the cult of knowledge important?
· What moving forces will allow us to modernize consciousness, etc.
In a relaxed atmosphere, students were given the opportunity to answer these questions. I got the participants of the Round Table to reflect on the answer to the question: “Which areas of consciousness modernization does the President of the country consider important?” - The Head of State speaks about the education, primarily in the young generation, of the qualities of a Kazakhstani future:
- competitiveness through computer literacy, knowledge of foreign languages and cultural openness;
- pragmatism and rationalism;
- preservation of national and cultural identity;
- cult of knowledge and education;
- adherence to the evolutionary, but not to the revolutionary path of development;
- openness of consciousness.
These are practical guidelines for the education of young people and the younger generations in the next 10-20 years. The answer to this question has become a sort of summary of the Round Table.
