On December 5, 2022 at the FL theory and practice department, in the frame of "Students' club of foreign languages" under the leadership of Anasheva D.K., the contest "Teaching Stylistics" was conducted among the 4th year students. Foreign teachers were invited as a jury, a head of the department and Master students of the FL theory and practice department.
A crucial objective was set for the 4th year students: to demonstrate the possibility of the interdependence of teaching linguistic science as "Stylistics" with the Methodology of teaching English, as well as to illustrate the appropriateness and expediency of using expressive and stylistic means in teaching English in practice. The 4th year students managed to depict excellent opportunities for using the figurative and expressive means of the English language in various areas of speech communication. The students' presentations corresponded to all the evaluation criteria, namely: the creativity, the practical application of theoretical discourse, the achievement of the goal, the involvement of all participants.
It was extremely difficult for the jury members to single out the winners, but it turned out to be FL-43. In addition, the jury members commented in detail on the performances of each group. The 4th year students were very enthusiastic and creative, they delineated its effectiveness and practical significance.
