IV International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Researchers "The Russian language in the context of an open dialogue of languages and cultures"

On December 2-3, the IV International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Researchers "The Russian language in the context of an open dialogue of languages and cultures" was held, organized by the Southern Federal University (Russia) together with the L.N. Gumilev ENU (Kazakhstan) and Gomel State University. Franciska Skaryna (Belarus). The conference was held in a mixed format (face-to-face and remotely), it was attended by 140 students and undergraduates from universities in Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Indonesia, Italy, Iran, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, China, Colombia, Palestine, Syria, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ecuador, South Korea.

Karpovskaya, the Rector's Plenipotentiary Representative in the countries of the Ibero-American area, Director of the International Institute of Interdisciplinary Education and Ibero-American Studies; E.N. Poluyan, Dean of the Faculty of Philology of the Francysk Skaryna Gomel State University; E.A. Zhuravleva, Head of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics of L.N. Gumilev ENU.

Within the framework of the conference, 9 sections worked. The moderators of 2 sections from the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics were Prof. Zhuravleva E.A. and Prof. Zharkynbekova Sh.K.

From the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics at the conference, presentations were made by: Zhanseitova Aruzhan "Strategies for naming flour in Kazakhstan and Russia" (RF-42, ruk. Zhuravleva E.A.) and Abdrakhmanova Kamila "Lexico-semantic method of ergonyms formation (based on the names of confectionery enterprises in Astana)" (MRF-22, ruk. Jambayeva Zh.A.). The performances of our participants aroused great interest among the participants of the sections.

On December 3, a scientific and methodological seminar "Actual problems of the functioning of the Russian language in the international educational space" was held for scientists and student leaders.
