85th anniversary of Academician M.S. Sergaliev
An outstanding linguist, one of the well-known experts in syntax Myrzatai Sergaluly was born on March 17, 1938 in the family of Sergali Makhmetov and Nurili Syzdykova, workers of the Zhanazhol collective farm in the Oktyabrsky district (now Shal Akin), North Kazakhstan region. In 1955, after graduating from the school of the village of Karaoba, he entered the Kazakh State University named after S. M. Kirov. After graduating from the university, Myrzatai Sergaliev began working as an assistant at the Kazakh language department at the named university. Until 1999, he received the title of professor, held the position of head of the department and then dean of the faculty. In 1999, at the invitation of the rector of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov was appointed head of the department of Kazakh linguistics.
On the occasion of the 85th anniversary since the birth of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philology, professor Sergaliev M.S. the Department of Kazakh Linguistics of the Faculty of Philology of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilyov organized the “Sergaliev Lessons-2023” IV International Scientific and Theoretical Conference of Students “Language and Literary Studies, Stylistics, Artistic Text”. The main goal of the conference is focused on the basis of important ideas expressed in the research works of M. Sergaliev. Let's take a closer look at the three main areas:

In three sections, selected reports of hundreds of students from the East Kazakhstan region of the country, South Kazakhstan region, Bashkir State University, Osh State University, Nuki Pedagogical Institute were read.
The plenary session was adorned with the good wishes of the students of Academician M. Sergaliev. Professor of our university, Doctor of Philology Zh. Zhakyp, professors of the Department of Kazakh Literature S. Negimov and Zh. Askerbekkyzy, an employee of the Research Institute "Abay Academy" at our university Ilyas Rysbekuly shared their memories of the scientist, and also wished success to students.

The student of Bashkir State University named after Akmolla I.I. Yanbaeva made a presentation on the topic “Issues of Bashkir anthroponymy”. Students also prepared reports based on the works of the scientist M. Sergaliev, including a student of the A. Bokeikhan University in Semey Orazkhan Botagoz on the topic “Academician M. Sergaliev is a master of the style of the Kazakh language”, a 2nd year student of the East Kazakhstan University named after S. Amanzholova A.Duysenbekova, student of the Faculty of Philology of the State University. L. N. Gumilyov M. Biyanova, having carefully analyzed the current topic.
After the plenary session, the work was carried out in three sections. The peculiarity of this sectional work is connected with the exchange of personal opinions of students. After the completion of the sectional work, the Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumilyov, Dean of the Faculty of Philology Beisenbay A.B. and head of the department of Kazakh linguistics Malikov K.T. awarded diplomas and letters of thanks to all participating students and presented valuable gifts. The students were also presented with commemorative books from the personal library of Academician M. Sergaliev.
