Eurasian National University. L.N. Gumilyov held the XI Republican subject Olympiad among students in the specialty 5B020500– “Philology: Kazakh philology” on the basis of the university April 18-19, 2019.
The competition was attended by students of 3 and 4 full-time courses in the specialty 5В020500– “Philology: Kazakh philology”.

Rules of the Republican Olympiad
1. Meet the group. For acquaintance of the group, 5 minutes were made (the culture of speech, behavior, the need for a specialty at a given time, the creative transfer of the specialty's ability were taken into account). Each member of the commission rated the group by 5 points system.
2. Questions and Answers. Group members verbally answered questions on the modern branches of the Kazakh language and literature within the framework of the university program. The students' literacy, complex language (phonetic, lexical, word-formation, morphological, morphological, syntactic), as well as literary and theoretical analysis (subject-ideological, artistic features) of sentences were evaluated. Accuracy, scientific character, sequence of answers were taken into account. Commission members rated each student on a 5-point scale.
3. Protection of a scientific project. Groups that passed the second round, at the third stage, defended research projects under the theme “Philology of the Great Steppe”. The logic, intelligence of students, as well as a wide and comprehensive analysis on the topic under discussion were taken into account. Each group was rated on a 5-point scale.
