FORMATION OF ANTI-CORRUPTION CULTURE THROUGH INTEGRITY IDEOLOGY

On October 18, 2019, the Faculty of Philology hosted a meeting of students and faculty with representatives of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Combating Corruption in the City of Nur Sultan under the slogan “FORMING ANTI-CORRUPTION CULTURE THROUGH INTEGRITY IDEOLOGY”. This event was held as part of the implementation of the Educational Work Plan with students of the Faculty of Philology.

The moderator of the meeting was Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Candidate of Philological Sciences Ardak Beisenbay. He greeted his students, undergraduates and doctoral students and encouraged everyone to open discussions and introduced to the audience the Head of the “Adep” Anti-Corruption Project Office at the L.N. Gumilyov ENU, Candidate of Law Yerkebulan Nugymanov.

The anti-corruption policy at the university now undergoing a great transformation. The prevention of corruption, elimination of the causes and conditions of its occurrence, creation of an atmosphere of intolerance to any manifestations of corruption and the formation of an anti-corruption culture are the key areas in the general concept of the development of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU. The main task of the “Adep” Project Office is to implement a set of measures to fulfill the main directions of the anti-corruption work plan developed at the university. The main speaker of the meeting on anti-corruption culture at the philological faculty was Ainur Abdrashova, an inspector of the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on combating corruption in the city of Nur-Sultan. Ainur Abdrashova made a presentation on the theme “Formation of Anti-Corruption Culture Through Integrity Ideology ” which had previously been proposed by the speaker, which aroused great interest from listeners who actively entered into discussions and asked questions. Young teachers of the Faculty of Philology made a proposal - to launch a story on social networks on the topic “Integrity everywhere and in everything” and transfer this hash tag to other followers. Such a social “movement” will allow young people, students and their teachers and leaders to unite in one good deed.

The organizers of the event – Zhanna Beisembaeva, Head of the Foreign Languages Theory and Practice Department ​​and Tolegen Gabdrahman, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Philology for educational work emphasized the relevance of the discussion topic, since today special attention is paid to the importance of upholding integrity in young people and its manifestation in all spheres of life .

The meeting with representatives of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Combating Corruption in the city of Nur-Sultan was held in the form of an interactive conversation and left only positive impressions.
