Head of the Department of Chinese Philology, Doctor of Philology, Professor Duken Masimhanuly was awarded a medal "20 years of Astana"

On December 12, 2018, according to the decree of the Head of the State, the Commemorative Medal "20 Years to Astana" was given to the Head of Chinese Philology Department of the Philological Faculty of LN Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Professor Duken Masimhanuly. Rector of the Eurasian National University named after LN Gumilev, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Yerlan Sydykov gave a solemn award on the occasion of Independence Day.

Head of the Department of Chinese Philology, Ph.D., Professor Duken Masimhanuly, the philologist of the Eurasian National University named after LN Gumilev, was one of the first to announce independence of the country and returned to the historical homeland - Kazakh land. In 1993, at the special invitation of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Duken Masimkhanuly returned to his historical homeland and taught at the Department of Oriental Studies of the Faculty of Oriental Studies.

In 1999-2002 he headed the department. In 2002 she was invited to the LN Gumilyov Eurasian National University for teaching. In 2003-2005 and 2007-2009 he was the head of the Department of Oriental Studies at the same university. From 2010 to present he is the head of Chinese philology department at the Faculty of Philology of ENU.

She has also taught Chinese language and literature, and has educated hundreds of Sinologists and Chinese specialists for her country. Also, Duken Masimkhanuly is a teacher, who is also a scientist, who is also a scientist in the field of teaching, except for his discipline. In particular, he has written "Forty words about China", "Chinese-Kazakh large dictionary", three volumes "Duken Masimkhanuly. More than 300 scientific and methodical works were published in foreign editions and leading editions of our country, besides 5 volumes of selective samples from Chinese literature.
