On December 13-15, the International Debate Tournament "Manas Cup XVI" was held in the capital of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek. The tournament was dedicated to Human Rights Day. The participants considered the urgent problems of society in the field of human rights protection, youth policy issues, violations of the rights of women and children, the problems and opportunities of peacebuilding in the modern world, touched upon urgent problems of society on the development of regional infrastructure, the fight against poverty, and improvement of the technological base.
The event was organized with the support of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), IDEA of Central Asia, the International University of Kyrgyzstan and in collaboration with Dodo, Coca-Cola, Pir, Bishkek Ethno House, Nitro.
About 100 strong CIS debaters fought for the title of winners. We are pleased to announce that the student of the Faculty of Philology Aukenova Aigerim was awarded the title of finalist of the International Tournament "Manas Cup XVI". Finalists and winners were awarded with diplomas, medals and gifts from sponsors.
